MISSING TREORCHY PENSIONER FOUND

An 80-year-old woman who walked out of her home wearing only her nightdress has been found safe. South Wales Police say Doris Reynolds was discovered near her home in Treorchy.

Police were anxious to find her after receiving reports that she had left her house in Cemetery Road on Saturday morning. She was reported to be wearing a pink nightdress. Officers were concerned for the pensioner's welfare because of the poor weather conditions and the frail state of her health.

She has been taken to the Royal Glamorgan Hospital in a stable condition.
