At 3:49pm on Thursday April 6 a fire broke out on Ynyswen Road. Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using two hose reel jets extinguished an accidental fire in the basement kitchen of a three-storey terraced house. One female occupant was rescued by her neighbour, prior to the arrival of the fire crews. Paramedics at the scene treated the occupant for shock.
