ACHIEVEMENTS

Formed at the start of 2004 the group are currently working towards their first village forum which will be held on 13th May. The group has spent £250 on complimenting the Business Theme Group’s hanging baskets scheme which will hopefully improve the general appearance of the high street. A further £250 was donated to Treherbert Library to continue with their digital photography classes.CwmNi are pleased to announce that the Treherbert Community Forum is now up and running. Their first public meeting was held on 13 May. The elections took place during a wet December, but this wasn’t enough to dampen residents’ spirits and 25% of residents chose to vote. To date, the group have contributed to the proposed hanging basket scheme (see right) and helped the library run a further digital photography class within Treherbert. Members are also working with the Environment Group who are looking to develop the dis-used plot of land between the train station and Station Terrace to improve the appearance of the area.
